Unusual idioms from around the world

Every language has its own, special idioms. There are thousands of idioms and they occur frequently in all languages. There are estimated to be at least twenty-five thousand idiomatic expressions in the English language alone… but few are as interesting as these ones. Enjoy!

Unfortunately, I don’t know who the original artist is – I found these on Imgur. If anyone knows the original source, please let me know so that I can credit it!

Edit: found it (or so I think) – this is the original source.

Do you have any strange idioms in your language? For me, the most fun one is: “Who burns with soup, will blow in yogurt” (meaning is something like if you burn yourself with soup, you’ll try to cool yogurt) – someone who makes a clear mistake, will be needlessly careful after that.
