Every language has its own, special idioms. There are thousands of idioms and they occur frequently in all languages. There are estimated to be at least twenty-five thousand idiomatic expressions in the English language alone… but few are as interesting as these ones. Enjoy!

Do you have any strange idioms in your language? For me, the most fun one is: “Who burns with soup, will blow in yogurt” (meaning is something like if you burn yourself with soup, you’ll try to cool yogurt) – someone who makes a clear mistake, will be needlessly careful after that.
