Why #IAmAScientistBecause is awesome

It’s the favorite hash tag we’ve had since #OverlyHonestMethods: scientists are flooding Twitter with their own revelations and reasons why they feel they’re scientists. It’s awesome because it highlights how special and unique being a scientist really is.

Scrolling through the tweets, it’s easy to see that being a scientist is much more than being logical and analytic – it’s a calling more than anything else. We don’t just do this because we can, we do it because we have to – because we need to find out how the world works, we need to improve things, and go into the unknown… and it’s fun!
