USA’s MegaBots Inc issued a challenge to Suidobashi Heavy Industry, Japanese robotics manufacturer, to a giant, epic, ROBOT DUEL (hype intensifies).

The challenge was issued in a YouTube video, along with footage of an immense robot with paintball cannons attached, piloted by two people.

“Suidobashi, we have a giant robot, you have a giant robot … you know what needs to happen … we challenge you to a duel. Both of our robots will need modifications to become combat ready”, said Megabots representatives.

Suidobashi robot Kuratas is a highly-magnificent human-piloted fighting machine. It has twin gatling guns, an advanced targeting system and a heads-up display for the pilots.

However, MegaBots Inc’s Mark II, a 12,000 pounds of gasoline-powered fury might have an upper hand with its really big paintball guns. Which of the robots will reign supreme?

Founders Andrew Stroup, Gui Cavalcanti and Matt Oehrlein, told Vice in 2014 that they wanted to start a new sport: Immense humanoid robots driven by humans, battling it out in front of a stadium audience.

In the video, Megabots representatives lay the challenge down in no uncertain terms.
