It can be easier to visualize time in terms of distance, especially considering how short our human lives are in relation to the age of the Earth. Even the big dinosaur extinction still occurred only a few feet away – at least in this video’s perspective.
Another point worth making is our impact on the planet. We’ve only been around as a civilization for a few thousand years, but we’re making a huge impact. We’re changing the planet’s climate, we’re killing off species, we’re modifying the landscape according to our needs.
