I am a conservation scientist interested in how well conservation interventions (such as community forest management, protected areas, biodiversity offsets and REDD+) work. To this end I use quasi-experimental and experimental approaches, and participatory impact evaluation to explore the impacts of conservation interventions, particularly focusing on impacts on local wellbeing. I am also interested in the links between knowledge, attitudes and behaviour in the context of conservation.
