It’s long been a mystery how black holes form, now astronomers are on the verge of cracking it.
Daniel Perley is a Reader of Astrophysics at the Astrophysics Research Institute at Liverpool John Moores University. He is an observational astronomer who studies supernovae and other types of cosmic explosion. He recieved his PhD at the University of California, Berkeley in 2011 and has previously worked at Caltech and at the University of Copenhagen.
