As some of you have undoubtedly noticed, today is Google’s 13th birthday; the company started by two Stanford PhD students (Larry Page and Serghei Brin) is now the titan of the internet, being without a doubt one of the most important companies in the world.

Here’s a few flashbacks from their amazing history; for example, this is how the site looked back in 1998, when it was first launched.

This was their first server, built from nonexpensive equipment.

But then again on the other hand, they have now grown so much, that their acquisitions alone are valued over $150 billion (full list here). Here’s wishing them all the best! Live long and prosper!
