This fantastic vizualization shows the average air traffic occurring over a 24 hour period over the United Kingdom. The visual was created by NATS, the UK’s leading provider of air traffic control services, handling 2.2 million flights and 220 million passengers in UK airspace each year.

There’s a lot happening in the skies of Britain – and remember: air flight is a serious contributor to emissions which cause climate change. Don’t take the plane unless you really have to.
