Artist Thomas Leveritt recently set up a special UV motion camera in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park with the intent of filming random people and showing them how their skin looks like under UV, and how sunscreen can act to protect them. Leveritt installed a monitor above the camera so people could instantly see the results, and then to heighten the effect, supplied them sunscreen in a vivid demonstration.

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer globally accounting for at least 40% of cases. It is especially common among people with light skin.
