I recently stumbled across this extremely interesting and inspiring TED Talk by Christopher McDougall, which explores the mysteries that tie the human species to running. He talks about how running helped us evolve as a species, he tells the story of an ambitious marathoner with a heart of gold and a tribe in Mexico that basically lives to run. I highly recommend it, for everybody of all ages.

Andrei's background is in geophysics, and he's been fascinated by it ever since he was a child. Feeling that there is a gap between scientists and the general audience, he started ZME Science -- and the results are what you see today.
