No, the Japan earthquake had absolutely NOTHING to do with the Moon

It never ceases to amaze me what absolutely absurd connections some people make. I was baffled to see so many people on the internet asking if there is any connection between the position of the Moon (which is very close to the earth) and the devastating earthquake in Japan.
