GeoPicture of the week: British folds

There is some magnificent cliff walking on Cornwall in Great Britain, I’d really recommend it to everyone who’s even remotely interested in geology. This picture was taken in the Crackington Haven area; it;s like these Carboniferous rocks were tortured by the tectonic forces as the Rheic Ocean finally closed and Pangea was formed. Truly awesome!
