This is not only an extreme sports feat, but it also brings together experts from aerospace medicine, engineering, pressure suit development, capsule creation and balloon fabrication. Although researching extremes was part of the program’s goals, setting records wasn’t the mission’s purpose – but what a record it can be! Jumping from the outskirts of the atmosphere, at over 120.000 feet, this is definitely something you don’t want to miss out on. Freefalling from that altitude will take some five minutes, during which he will break the sound barrier – something nobody has done before.
