Studies of the human body conducted sometimes by scientists, sometimes by intrepid dilettantes have been a point of maximum interest throughout the 1500s, all the way to the 1800s. Medicine in the Middle Ages wasn’t at it’s highest point – the leeches, dubious potions and trepanations were the standard back then, but even so, people tried their best to solve the complicated issues of the human body and share their results.
